Jesus Gonzalez is a first generation Mexican American, a trained chef, and a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America. After spending several years in New York City leading new restaurant openings and operational turnarounds for a national fast casual group, he returned to his hometown of Milwaukee to build something of his own.
With limited capital, he purchased a vintage trailer, converted it himself, and launched a food truck. What began as a solo operation on an empty gravel lot grew into Zocalo Food Park, Wisconsin's first food truck park and a launchpad for dozens of food entrepreneurs across the city.
Throughout that time, Jesus became the central point of contact for food truck bookings across Milwaukee. Event planners, corporate teams, and families organizing private events all reached out to him directly. The sheer volume of inbound requests made the gap in the market impossible to ignore: the industry needed a dedicated platform, not a personal network.
