Common questions about cancellations and refunds
Showing 9 questions
How do I cancel a booking?
Navigate to your Eventini dashboard, find the booking under "My Events," and click "Request Cancellation." You'll see your refund amount calculated automatically based on the provider's cancellation policy and how many days remain before your event.
When will I receive my refund?
Refunds are processed within 5-10 business days after cancellation approval. The funds return to your original payment method. Bank processing times may add 2-3 additional days. You'll receive an email confirmation when the refund is initiated.
Can I modify instead of cancelling?
Yes! Contact your provider through the in-app messaging system to request changes like date adjustments, guest count updates, or menu modifications. Providers can accept or decline based on availability. Modifications don't trigger cancellation fees.
What if my provider cancels?
You receive a full refund of all payments made, regardless of timing. Providers must give notice per their policy tier. We'll help you find a replacement provider and may offer booking credits for the inconvenience. Repeated cancellations affect provider standing.
Extenuating circumstances policy
Force majeure events, severe weather, government restrictions, or documented emergencies may qualify for policy exceptions. Submit a support request with documentation (weather alerts, medical notes, official notices) within 14 days of the event date.
How are partial refunds calculated?
Partial refunds (typically 50%) are calculated on your total booking amount minus the Eventini service fee and any non-refundable add-ons marked at checkout. The exact amount is shown before you confirm the cancellation request.
What's my cancellation obligation as a provider?
You must provide notice equal to your policy tier (30/60/90 days). Cancelling without proper notice results in a warning, profile flag, and potential removal after repeated violations. Emergency cancellations should be reported to support immediately.
Is my deposit refundable?
Deposits follow the same cancellation policy as the full booking. If you cancel within the "full refund" window, your entire deposit is returned. During the partial refund period, you receive 50% of your deposit back. Outside those windows, deposits are non-refundable.
How does cancellation affect my payout?
If a host cancels within the no-refund window, you receive your full payout minus the Eventini fee. Partial refund cancellations result in 50% payout. Full refund cancellations mean no payout. Your payout is processed on the standard schedule after the original event date.
