Responding to Host Requests
When a host sends you a request, you'll receive a notification with all the event details. You can then choose to accept or decline.
What You'll See in a Request
- Event date and time
- Event location and type (indoor/outdoor)
- Guest count
- Event type and host details
- Requested services and estimated payout
- Any message from the host
When You Accept
- Your calendar is immediately blocked for that date
- The host is notified of your acceptance
- You can message the host directly to coordinate details
- The booking appears in your "Upcoming Events" section
When You Decline
- The host is notified and can choose other providers
- Your response rate may be affected (high decline rates can lower your visibility)
- The date remains available on your calendar
You can optionally provide a reason for declining, which helps hosts understand and can improve their future requests.
Response Time Matters
We recommend responding to requests within 24 hours. Fast response times:
- Improve your ranking in search results
- Build trust with hosts
- Increase your chances of being booked
Pro Tip
Enable push notifications in your provider app so you never miss a request. You can also set up email alerts for new bookings.
